Why Wild Fish Are Better Than Farmed Fish

Via Moldy Chum (who we swear makes this stuff up) we learn a cautionary tale of fish farm workers trapped in a huge vat of… fish feces.

Say it again with me Undergrounders: trapped in a huge vat of fish feces.

The Boston Herald reported:

Rescuers cut through a filtration tank of dense fish feces to reach four workers who fell into the sludgy dung Friday while cleaning the 18-foot tank at a western Massachusetts farm.

The money quote:

One worker who became submerged in the feces was airlifted to Bay State Medical Center in Springfield, but was talking with paramedics and did not appear to have life-threatening injuries, Dion said.

I’m sorry, but we gotta say this: how could any fall and entrapment in a huge vat of fish feces not be life threatening — emotionally if not physically?

We rest our case. See you at the fish farm (not), Tom Chandler.
