We at the Trout Underground surrendered in the bikini wars some time ago — beaten by bloggers of considerably less moral fiber (and you know who you are, Moldy), but that doesn’t mean the odd border skirmish doesn’t flare up now and again.
In fact, Alert Trout Underground Horndog College Student “Jack” alerted us to the following shocking use of photography to demean serious fly fishers everywhere, and we wanted to be the first to condem this sort of thing by publishing a large picture of it:

Well well well. This is a sorry thing for middle aged (if you’re going to live to 120) slightly flabby fly fishermen to have to gaze upon. My, my my. It’s a very nice, uh, er, oh…fly rod. I woke up at 3:30 in the morning to come look at this? But, you know, perhaps this young lady could use some assistance with her fly casting. I think I’m gonna go back to bed.

Add the mosquito bites together with the large abrasion from the slide down the bank, couple that with the blisters from all the helpful fellows insisting on casting instruction – and you are looking at an elephantine angry gluteus – determined to make you pay maximus.
