Thousands of people have been ‘fleeced’ into buying neatly coiffured lambs they thought were poodles.
Entire flocks of lambs were shipped over from the UK and Australia to Japan by an Internet company and marketed as the latest ‘must have’ accessory.
But the scam was only spotted after a leading Japanese actress said her ‘poodle’ didn’t bark and refused to eat dog food.
We’re going to hammer the Mainstream Media with wall-to-wall coverage of… (wait for it)… PoodleGate! (You can’t manufacture a big scandal without a catchy title)
Thank god for the rest of the planet; otherwise we’d have to make this stuff up.

Various tribes, commercial fishermen and Friends of the River are holding a rally on the south steps of the state Capitol to urge the removal of the Klamath dams. This kicks off their trip to Omaha, Nebraska, Warren Buffet’s (PacifiCorp owner) headquarters.
The tribes have a traditional fishing boat on display, as well as literature describing the problem. I think they are taking a good route by selling the dams as a bad investment, rather than the environmental aspect. That will likely resonate better with Buffet and other owners.
The event is occurring right now, too bad I had little advance notice.

WOW…This solidifies my belief that we live in a world full of idiots. Probably 70% of our society are incompetant and I am supprised they can actually draw air into thier enlarged heads. Also how can you possibly not know the difference between a brookie and a rainbow or brown. A Brook Trout is not even a “Trout” it is an “Arctic Char” so the name decieves as well. Anyway sorry for the rant, I just got my butt chewed by a client that ordered some product and it is now my fault because he ordered it incorrectly.AHHHHH! Sheep? Poodles? I need a scotch!!!!

At first I thought it was a ploy by the Japanese EPA to get poodles off their endangered species list, like counting hatchery Salmon as wild once they are in the water. However, it appears theere is no such conspiracy and that this is a just hoax…

Regarding the various river issues going on right now, if one were to write a letter to a state legislator (especially your own representatives), you could be pretty certain you would get a response. It might not be the response you are after, but many lawmakers really do read the letters they get and it helps make them aware of our issues.

Steve: Ian gets a lot of mileage out of my unfortunate “knocking on death’s door but bravely fishing on anyway” streamer story (that’s my version), but while he’s free with the embarrassing narrative, he’s no pushover in the giveaways department.
