Klamath Indians Want PacifiCorp to Breach Klamath Dams

Here’s a link to a story about the Sacramento demonstration being mounted by the Klamath Indian tribes: Klamath Indians asking to take down PacifiCorp dams – sacbee.com

Indians from Northern California tribes stopped Friday in Sacramento on their way to Omaha, Neb., to ask billionaire Warren Buffett to remove hydroelectric dams from the Klamath River that they say are jeopardizing their health, economy and traditions.

I wish them luck in Omaha.

And as the U.S. has such an impressive history of listening and responding to indians’ concerns, uhhhhhhhhh I’m sure we’ll get right on that dam(n) removal. Good luck indeed!

Are you leaving for the Cahulawassee River tomorrow?
Well, have fun, catch some fish, eat some slaw-dogs… I’ve got some kinfolk up that way, whatever you do, DON’T ask them to drive your truck back to Aintry.

The Indians are after Warren Buffet and not the US government, so perhaps there’s a tiny glimmer of hope.

And yes, fun & slaw dogs. Maybe not even in that order.  (Quote)
