Once Again, the Bamboo World Trembles
By Tom Chandler on Apr 15, 2007 in Underground Entertainment, bamboo
Could that be?
Yes, my all-things-bamboo friends — that’s a bamboo laptop.
Brought to us courtesy Alert Underground Reader James (and the TreeHugger blog), this laptop was designed to be environmentally friendly, but here — at the blogging home of bamboo fly rods, pants, towels and clothes hangers — we know better.
Clearly, our bamboo goodies set us apart from the rest of the huddled, plastic-using masses, a distinction that – if I understand Darwin correctly — means that chicks (or hunks) will dig us more.
As a result, we’re more likely to mate successfully, thereby guaranteeing an overabundance of “insufferable snob” DNA in the gene pool.
Once again, the Trout Underground plays a significant role in improving humanity’s lot. (You’re welcome.)
See you at the keyboard, Tom Chandler.

That’s so cool. I want one. I wonder if I could get one made out of old growth redwood. I just love the smell of redwood.
