Via Moldy Chum comes a contender for the Underground’s Pointed Barb of Irony Award.
It turns out this year’s study of the effectiveness of barging Snake River salmon around those four damned Snake River Dams was canceled - because there weren’t enough salmon.
PORTLAND, OR 2007-02-21 Scientists will have to suspend this year’s study of barging Snake River salmon — because there aren’t enough fish. Rob Manning reports on the reaction from regional power officials.
We realize this might just be a tad on the obvious side, but if there aren’t enough salmon to study, don’t we already have our answer??
