Ian Rutter Rubs it in: Posts Profile of Montana Fly Fishing Trip
By Tom Chandler on Feb 9, 2007 in Travel
Ian & Charity Rutter are working the show circuit right now (and no, they didn’t invite me), but Ian managed to finally post a report from his late summer Montana trip to the Madison River and other points West.
It’s not bad reading for a winter’s day, and for the Undergrounders whose lips get tired, there are even pictures:
Of course, with the Upper Sacramento currently running better than 2,100 cfs, reading’s about all I’ve got.
Enjoy your weekend. And see you on the Internet, Tom Chandler

They’re going back for two weeks next year, and somehow pawning the whole thing off as “work.”
The nerve.

He was using nymphs while fishing out of Kelly’s place? That’s just wrong.

Ian nymphs when he has to, but usually fishes streamers when they ain’t rising.
I spent a couple hours in the front of his boat flinging a streamer the size of a squirrel last time I was in Tennessee, and it was both painful and educational.
