First Annual Tattered Fly Photo Contest

by Tom Chandler on January 29, 2007 · 3 comments

The Tattered Fly blog is located in Idaho – not far from a few places I’ve fished, and want to fish again.

Photographs have long been staple content at Tattered Fly, so it stands to reason that Dan would launch a photography contest to keep it interesting over the winter.

Of course, if you’re like the rest of the Undergrounders, you’re asking this simple question: “What’s in it for me?

Tattered Fly has you covered:

Tattered Fly tee-shirt
Tattered Fly baseball cap
DVD-Sporting Fly’s Vol. 1 Alaska-Kenai River
One dozen assorted House of Harrop
Certificate for $20 off a $50 purchase at Anglers fly shop in Boise
Anything else that I find in my fishing bins that I can dump on the winner

There you have it. The Trout Underground not only entertains and informs, but also puts you on the road to contest riches.

You’re welcome.

I like the site. I am an avid alaskan fly fisherman, with a big passion in photography. I am interested in submitting my work for publication. I have many photo galleries on my website that I listed. I hope to hear back. Perhaps one day soon, I could cover a story in Alaska for you. Im headed out 4:00am to float for some hogs.

Chris: The Trout Underground isn’t exactly a magazine that pays contributors, so with that in mind, I’d consider publishing a picture from time to time if you want to ship one my way. Be happy to link to your blog.

I would be interested in checking out your magazine. Alaskan trout fishing is quite “off the hook” to put it in new generational terms. The snow was falling too hard to do our trip today, however, Wed. is on. There will be a rainbow over 30″ caught. I would be interested in supplying a photo for your magazine, so long as you give credit and consider a story on Alaska fishing. I would be happy to write an article for you regarding the salmon runs and the trout that follow their spawn. I have some fantastic photo galleries on my website that you should flip through at your leisure. Perhaps there is a photo there that you would like to use. i could then send you the big file.
Lemme know:)
