Blogwatch: Richard Lee Merritt Fish/Book/Chess Blog
By Tom Chandler on Jan 13, 2007 in Blogging
Every once in a while I stumble across an interesting new blog.
This one still has that new blog smell; it only features a few posts.
Still, Richard Lee Merritt’s blog offers an interesting mix. He loves old books (I love books too), plays chess (I played in a few tournaments in my day, and yes ladies, I’m already taken), and fly fishes.
I simply couldn’t pass it by.
And yes, I want a pipe just like his. Someday, I will be hip. But not today.

Thanks for the link to this blog, Tom. It’s pretty sharp. I added it to my blog roll. I especially enjoyed the AK Best fly tying video. BTW, I already have some cool pipes. Keep trying and one day you’ll be as cool as me…well, let’s not get carried away…maybe you’ll be pretty cool though. Never quit trying.

It’s hard to be cool when your origins include words like “chess team” (and your mid-life years are spent wearing oversized, suspendered, waterproof pants) but I’m making a late run at the title.

Hey, it’s hard to look this sexy in waders…

It’s hard to look like anything in waders (outside of kinda dorky), pipe or not.
