Trout Underground Continues Evil Plan to Rule All of Metropolis: Joins 9Rules Network
By Tom Chandler on Jan 4, 2007 in Blogging, News
The Trout Underground is happy to announce that it’s now a member of the 9Rules Network - a community of top, kickass blogs.

Sure, I’m not much of a joiner, but I didn’t get to sit at the “Cool Table” in high school (cross country team and chess club) so I figure this is my chance.
Soon, I’ll be hanging with famous celebrities and being photographed with Paris Hilton as she crawls in and out of limousines sans underwear.
The other fly fishing blogs will turn green with envy, pestering me with pleading e-mails attempting to curry favor.
I, of course, will act contemptuous, ignoring their “D” list pleas. Life will be a whirlwind of depravity and high-volume blog traffic.
Think I’m overstating the benefits? HA! Here’s Proof:
Me Before 9Rules:

Me After 9Rules:

Let the Groupies begin to gather. See you on the A List, Tom Chandler.

Congrats! And welcome to 9rules. With a couple more fishing blogs we can take over the Sports category.

Thanks Dan (of http://tatteredfly.com). I think you’re aiming low - why rule the Sports category when we can simply take over 9Rules?

Ha! Let’s go for it. Although I did notice that I was the very last one to make it in on the round I was accepted and on this latest round you are second from the bottom. Looks like we have a long ladder to climb :)

I love when fishing sites are added to 9rules! I own a charter fishing business up in Lake Ontario (http://www.RebelCharters.com). We do mainly trout and salmon fishing. Glad to have you aboard.

so how much did THAT cost ya, TC?

The beauty of the Trout Underground is the lack of rules. The fact that “we” also lack hygiene, style, and frappe’ half-caf with a lemon twist, is also a plus.
Now, all that has changed. Pretty soon the main features will be, “Toxic Railroad Spills Yield Monster Trout” and “Re-elect GeorgeDubYuh to save the Upper Sac from the Perils of Islam.”
I think nonconformist TC may be in peril. The fact that he referenced Brad and Paris in the same article suggests mind control at the very minimum.

Yes. Yes. Thanks. Nothing. And, politics? Pffft. Sex sells, not policy.
That’s why I’m announcing a new Trout Underground feature “Celebrity Fly Fishing Watch” where we’ll carefully examine photographs of major
bimboscelebrities entering and exiting vehicles for any signs of fly fishing gear.Sure, most of the time we’ll simply be posting pictures of Paris, Brittney, Lindsey or other flavor of the month sans panties (and drawing monster traffic as a result).
I’m willing to make the sacrifice in time and bandwidth, hoping that one of them is caught wearing an Orvis vest (instead of a moronic husband), thereby catapulting fly fishing into the limelight it so richly deserves.
That’s the problem with you guys. Your vision is limited. You see celebrity gossip mongering and pandering. I see the potential for Gucci waders and $8500 Michael Kors vests.
As for rules, well, without rules, we’d just be a bunch of tree-climbers flinging fecal material in all directions.
And I don’t want to alarm anyone, but I have seen suspicious activity, possibly Al Qaeda related activity on the Upper Sac.
How else do you explain the lack of BWOs? If that’s not proof, nothing is.

Congratulations Brad.
Dunno how you juggle the family with all that fishing.

Hi Tom,
Did you use Photo Shop or Fireworks to make yourself look so bald? It looks so natural!

No man. Blogging grows hair. It’s a proven fact.
Hair. Lots of it.
