The Fly Fishing Rabbi Goes Bonefishing
By Tom Chandler on Dec 11, 2006 in Underground Entertainment
It seems like a saltwater Monday here at the Underground. In this case, it’s Welcome to another episode of Our Favorite Fly Fishing Rabbi. (How many can there be?)
In this installment, our ecclesiastical piscator vacationed in the Bahamas, and took the opportunity to go bonefishing.

Amusingly, he experienced what a lot of us do the first time out: Bonefish Blindness.
You’re standing there and the guide’s telling you there’s a school of six bones swimming right towards you, and all you can see are waves, sand, and the odd bit of floating debris.
Eagle-eyed fly fishers my ass.
Still, you get the hang of it eventually, and even if you don’t, you’re in the damned tropics while the rest of us shovel snow.
How bad could it be? As always, we’re waiting for the next installment from our good-humored Rabbi friend from the east.
