Ultimate Fly Fish Phone?

Verizon calls this their shockproof, waterproof, EMP proof, solar radition-resistant, GPS-equipped Adventure Cell Phone. To me, it’s more an adventure killer.
After all, what’s the adventure in always knowing where you are, or always having the option to call for help?
For some of us, the adventure only begins after we’ve gotten lost, broken a leg trying to net a 5″ brookie, and dropped the cell phone into the river while calling for help.
Still, if you’re tired of dragging your sorry butt into the cell phone store looking all moronic and dopey because you drowned your fourth cell phone of the year, then maybe this baby’s for you.
Plus, it looks cool, and chicks would dig it.

Ick! I make it a point to leave my cell phone behind on fly fishing trips. Of course, the girlfriend (oops..now wife) requires some kind of excuse. So far she has accepted the “I won’t get a signal where I’m going” excuse. I was holding the “cell phone might get wet or solar irradiated” excuses in reserve. Thanks a freaking lot Verizon…

Cell phones used to be shunned by my fishing buddies - until they discovered they could call and taunt me from the river (read about the dastardly deed here).
I think I need some new fishing buddies, not a new cell phone.
