The Luckiest Fly Fisher in America? It’s Luca.
By Tom Chandler on Sep 26, 2006 in Fly Fishing, Underground Entertainment
Take a young fly fisher, load him up with a laptop, a blog, a change of underwear, and then send him around the country to find the best trout rivers (and coolest conservation projects) - and you’ve Luca’s Fly Fishing Blog.
Not that I’m envious or would happily stuff Luca’s body in a ravine and assume his identity or anything (I would), but this sounds like the ultimate lifestyle/blogging gig. Luca Adelfio realizes it, because his business cards say he’s the “Luckiest Guy in America.” It would be very, very hard to disagree.
Luca travels for Trout Unlimited, visiting active chapters and the coutnry’s best fisheries, writing extensive blog entries about the rivers and the restoration efforts.
His latest entry details a trip up a small brookie stream. He’s been pretty much everywhere else (and fished there too). Still, this leaves me to wonder; he’s only 23, so what’s he going to do to top this??

Luca joined us on the Battenkill last week, just in time for the public hearing on the management plan/stocking issue.
Stay tuned to his blog for his coverage of this issue as well some fish stories from fishing the BK and other waters in SWVT.
