Sugar Creek apparently wants to turn its pay-to-fish monster trout ponds into something far more lucrative – a reality TV show. Introducing the live, underwater “big fish” cam.
The ideal link for those who “just like to watch,” it’s essentially a peaceful desktop aquarium – until a big, big fish swims through, at which time it becomes a live fly fishing porn show. Be still my beating heart…

[Editor's Update: Camera is only available from Noon to 7:30 (PST). Damnit - what are we going to do the rest of the day?]
Sugar Creek suggests watching only 20 minutes at a time to preserve their bandwidth (boy, have they got a lot to learn about the Internet). Sugar Creek is a pay-to-fish fishery about an hour north of the Underground in the Scott Valley. I’ve never fished there, but then, hundreds of big trout can’t be wrong.

I didn’t see the underwater big fish cam when I fished there on the 19th but perhaps it is on the south pond which I didn’t fish or possible they had not installed it yet.
There are cameras on some of the trees around the ponds so I guess one could see hatches coming off, etc.
On the other hand it’s possible someone could be monitoring those cameras from inside the lodge while you’re fishing so if you go, leave the Power Bait and worms at home :-). LOL.

Given the state of casting in 50% of the fly fishing populace, it’s likely those cameras are gathering footage for those video bloopers shows. But that’s just me talking.
Tivo? How many times do I have to tell you – I live in the State of Jefferson…
